Manufacturer Parts Warranties

All equipment purchased from Smarterway is brand new and direct from our supply warehouses.

Since we sell nationally known brands, having repairs done if needed is quite simple. Most air conditioning contractors are authorized by these manufacturers to service this equipment and obtain replacement parts for the term of your warranties.

We do not sell discontinued or outdated equipment. Parts for your new system will be readily available for many years to come. We vigorously select the brands we carry and have great relationships with our suppliers to bring you the best prices and equipment available on the market.

If for any reason your installing or servicing contractor is unable to obtain a repair or replacement part, simply call us toll-free at  866-351-2665 and we will assist you.

Smarterway does not provide labor warranty of any kind. Should you require replacement parts during or after install, Smarterway will assist your installing contractor in obtaining any required parts under the manufacturers parts warranty but most installers can obtain these parts through local parts houses directly to expedite the repair. Smarterway will provide this service for an administrative fee of $25.00. You will be charge the full price of the part up front plus postage/shipping and will receive credit once the replaced part is return to our warehouse. Smarterway will require the receipt for installation from your installer in order to obtain this service. If you have questions about this policy, please ask us.

Warranties will vary by SEER rating and manufacturer. Please check each product page as we list the manufacturer's parts warranties and any additional information as available. Retain your receipt from your qualified HVAC contractor or technician to ensure that your parts warranty remains intact. Regardless of brand, you will void any provided parts warranty without installation by a trained HVAC professional. We state this because we know there are places attempting to sell as do-it-yourself and do not disclose this important piece of information to their customers. Smarterway is not a do-it-yourself supplier. Involve your contractor for pre-sales consultation and correct installation and you will have many years of pleasure from your new comfort system.

Order Processing

We strive to have all stock equipment leave our warehouse within 2-3 business days. Since we are receiving trucks from our suppliers daily we work to keep most items in stock. Since Smarterway will not ship damaged equipment of any type some equipment coming from the truck may be refused and re-ordered. This may delay some orders in some cases. This is very seldom but it does happen. Credit cards are charged at time of order as orders are sent quickly to the warehouse. If you need to cancel or modify an order you must call our offices by 5 p.m. EST the day of order and speak to a representative. After that point order order cancellation charges will apply. If the order has not shipped this fee will be 10% of order total. If the order has been packed and not left our location the fee will be 10% plus a $25.00 packaging materials fee. If the order has left our warehouse the fee will be 20% plus a $25.00 packaging materials fee and all freight costs for outbound shipping to current terminal location and return freight to return the order to our warehouse. Please keep this in mind when placing your order. Processing orders involves time and resources to get our orders out as quickly as possible to serve all our customers in a timely fashion.

Please do not schedule your installer until you have received you equipment at your location. Smarterway cannot be responsible for missed appointments due to delay in equipment delivery. We make every effort to ensure prompt delivery but due to the nature of carrier freight some delays may happen from time to time. These can include weather delays beyond anyone's control.

Equipment selection is the sole responsibility of the buyer and their installer. The best way to determine what is needed is to ask your installer to review your specific situation and assist in your Smarterway equipment selection. Smarterway is not responsible for equipment type and selection on orders.

Equipment Installation

Since you will be using a certified contractor or HVAC technician, the industry standard is a one-year labor warranty from the installing contractor. We also recommend that you consider purchasing a maintenance agreement from your installer to ensure efficient operation of your unit though the use of annual cleanings and inspections. Their knowledge and preventative maintenance care can prolong the life of your new unit. Smarterway does not in any way recommend, promote or sell to individuals who want to attempt a do-it-yourself installation. Purchasers must use a state certified installer/contractor to install their equipment purchased from Smarterway. Purchasers will void all manufacturer's warranties and could cause harm to their equipment, themselves and their property. Protect your investment. Smarterway does not provide installation of equipment and it is your responsibility to obtain a certified/licensed contractor in your area to perform the correct equipment sizing and proper installation of your new equipment. We suggest you have everything in place prior to ordering your equipment.

Freight Inspection

All equipment shipped from one of our warehouses is inspected by one of our shipment quality control technicians. We take great care in the palletizing and strapping of your new system to ensure safe delivery to your home or office. It is required that you inspect your shipment immediately upon arrival with the delivery driver. Once you have signed the delivery receipt it becomes an official document as to the condition of the products at delivery. Smarterway is not responsible for damages that occur during shipping but we will assist to correct any situation that may occur. We stand behind our service and support records with pride. Freight damage is very rare but it can happen. All freight damage must be noted immediately on the delivery receipt. Do not wait to open your shipment as it make it more difficult to file a claim.

Bottom line is that we will do everything in our power to correct any situation as long as you do your part and make sure that you carefully inspect your delivery.

If anything is missing from your shipment, please notify us immediately so the replacement item can be forwarded to you. Any and all shortages must be reported to Smarterway with 5 business days from the delivery date. After close of business - 5 p.m. EST on the 5th day, Smarterway may reject subsequent missing part claims.

Freight Return Policy

In the event that a customer has a change of mind or decides against the purchase, once the purchase has left our facility, the customer will be responsible for all applicable shipping costs to and from their location and our facilities, with a restocking fee of 20% of the total equipment purchase.

In the event that the equipment has not left our facility, the customer will only be responsible for the 20% restocking fee. This fee may be waived by Smarterway if the order is cancelled via phone by 5:00 p.m. EST on the day of order placement. Orders containing non-stock and special order equipment from the manufacturer cannot be cancelled once placed.

If the freight is being returned after it has been shipped and is damaged in any way, the customer will be responsible for the damages at cost.

By placing an order in any manner with Smarterway, you agree to all terms and policies listed.

Water Source Heat Pumps

Water source heat pump systems are custom built to order. These orders, once placed and confirmed cannot be cancelled. The manufactures we work with build the systems to order and delivery to our warehouse average 2-4 weeks depending on the configuration. Since there are many option such as TXV valve and return and supply location, we do not stock these items. By ordering one of these units from Smarterway, you agree to these terms. We do everything to deliver the units with this timeframe.
